  1. Market 5 Gallery Says:

We noticed when we went to the Arts and Crafts link that there was no link to the Market 5 Gallery website.
Market 5 Gallery has anchored the North Hall and North Plaza of Eastern Market for 35 years. We introduced a wide array of international vendors to the Market. These were so popular that the Saturday Market Festival had to expand and introduce Sunday’s Flea Market.
We at Market 5 Gallery, a non-profit community arts organization, have been instrumental in integrating the community’s activities by providing affordable arts and performance space, community meeting space and other public services. Recently the new District of Columbia Fire Chief was sworn-in in a stirring ceremony held in the North Hall and hosted by Market 5 Gallery free of charge.
We at Market 5 Gallery have been functioning under less than ideal conditions for many years and have deep understanding of the hardships currently experienced by vendors forced out of the South Hall. We are providing advice, aid and moral support to help vendors make the adjustment to their temporary situation and we continue to provide, under difficult conditions, a venue for arts and performances that can somewhat relieve the stress of our community’s misfortune.
